Joy Flights

We conduct scenic joy flights from 4 locations in the Marburg area located approximately half way between Brisbane and Toowoomba along the Warrego Highway only 15 minutes west of Ipswich.

Our standard landing sites are, Woodlands of Marburg, Warrego Wines, The Sundowner Hotel Haigslea and The Australian Motorcycle Museum. On Most Sundays we set up our operations base at one of these sites (which we cycle week to week) and we service all sites from the one location. On any Sunday, we can take you on a ride from any of the locations listed above. It only takes a minute to transit between landing sites. Just go to reception at the location of your choice and they will look after you. We generally operate from 10:30am to 3:30pm. If you require a flight outside these hours please phone and we will see what we can do.

Make your helicopter ride a whole day affair by enjoying the great facilities each of the landing sites has to offer. Even better, visit all four, by car or, we can do a transfer flight between venues if you like.

Scenic Flights

Pterodactyl Helicopters Scenic Tours and Flights are conducted from three locations in the Ipswich area. There is one Ipswich CBD site and two Ipswich Country sites.

Scenic tours include at least one ‘away’ landing for wine tasting, breakfast, morning or afternoon coffee or tea, a picnic hamper lunch or a tasty meal, depending on the tour taken (meal prices quoted separately).

Scenic flights on the other hand have no ‘away’ landing but still offer all the excitement of riding in a helicopter.

Each flight takes in views of the Ipswich CBD and the beautiful country landscape in the Brisbane valley, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim. The Ipswich CBD flight also takes in views of the Brisbane CBD. Whether the flight is taken in our Bell 47 or R44 Ravin, each helicopter offers outstanding sightseeing, great photo and video opportunities for every passenger. These flights are an excellent way for visitors and locals alike who wish to experience what the Ipswich area has to offer but who have limited time available.
