November - April
This is our wet season so the weather is hot and humid. It doesn't rain all the time, but the ground can often be wet. We therefore recommend shoes that you don't mind getting wet and light cotton clothing is best. Sunscreen is a must along with a hat and sunglasses. May - October
The temperatures are fabulous at this time of the year, lovely and warm during the day and quite cool at night. Summer clothes are ideal for daytime, but make sure you bring something warmer for the nights. Visiting
There are a multitude of things to choose from no matter what your preferences. Tours can be arranged and many will collect you at the door.
Some of these may include...
Whether snorkelling, fishing or diving the reef is a must see. For those that don't like to get wet there are a number of options that will still allow you to get the reef experience such as HABA Dive. These may include walking riding or driving. There are a number of 4WD and bike tours and we can highly recommend Grubs Trike tours and Daintree Wonder Tours. Cape Tribulation offers a number of walking tours and the Kuku Yalanji offer guided tour of Mossman Gorge. The boutiques of Port Douglas and if you are here on a Sunday, then the Sunday markets are a must see. Adventure
You can go bird watching or horse riding or for the more adventurous there's always white water rafting, sky diving and jet skiing.
Golf For the Golf enthusiasts this is the place to be. Port Douglas boasts 2 superb golf courses and Mossman has it's own. Just 35mins down the range there are another 2 First Class courses at Palm Cove and Kewarra Beach.
