Dick Johnson Racing

The Dick Johnson Racing complex is a purpose-built race facility which includes a race museum and retail store. Tours of the workshop, which showcases the daily operations of a real V8 Supercar team, are conducted several times a week. Group Tour bookings can be arranged.  Please contact the Race Shop for enquiries and bookings.

The race museum is home to the cars that made Dick Johnson famous and also displays other past famous race cars which are all rotated regularly so visitors can view a collection of historic race cars. Visitors can expect to see on display some of Dick's most famous race cars, including the XD Tru-Blu Falcon that hit 'the Rock', the XE Greens-Tuf Falcon that won 1984 ATCC Championship, the 'not so commonly known' Greens-Tuf Mustang and the barnstorming Sierra that dominated the series from 1987 to 1992. Other cars visitors can expect to see on display include Allan Moffat's 1969 Trans-Am Mustang, XW GTHO Phase I Falcon and XY GTHO Phase III Falcon, Ian Geoghegan's 1965 Ford Mustang and Peter Brock's 1978 & 1979 Marlboro Holden Dealer Team A9X Toranas. The famous 'rock' and other memorabilia are also displayed in the museum which is a must for every V8 Supercar fan.

The race shop stocks the entire range of Jim Beam Racing and DJR merchandise including clothing and accessories. The Jim Beam Racing and Dick Johnson Racing merchandise range is complemented with model cars, books, videos, stickers, flags, and much more. You are sure to find a unique souvenir. Race panels as removed from the actual race cars may also be available for sale at the Race Shop.  Please enquire at the shop counter on your visit. A large glass window to the workshop allows you to see the Dick Johnson Racing team preparing the current #17 and #18 Jim Beam Racing V8 Supercars for the next race meeting (depending on race schedules).

The race workshop tours are conducted several times a week. Visitors are given a guided tour that provides a 'behind the scenes' look at the preparation of the race cars and the specialist equipment used to assist in their preparation. Depending on the race schedule, you will get to see the current race cars and the transporter up close.
