Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Get closer, and you can learn a lot from the animals. Not just from our famous lorikeets, but every single wonderful creature at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - from the biggest, proudest kangaroo to the littlest gecko.

Millions have been getting closer to Australia’s unique wildlife since Alex Griffiths founded Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in 1947.

What began with Alex feeding the local lorikeets has grown to become one of Queensland’s most loved and eye-opening attractions.

We have one of the world’s largest collections of Australian fauna, including many rare and endangered species.

The new star attraction at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is Holey – the biggest Saltwater Crocodile on public display. Holey weighs in at 1000 kilograms and measures over five metres long and can bee seen at Crocodile Wetlands.

The entertaining wildlife shows also include the Free Flight Bird Spectacular, the Totally Wild Show and Snakes Alive.

With more than 26 hectares of rainforest and bushland habitats, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the best way to experience Australia's diversity of natural wonders, all in the one day.

So visit Currumbin. Get closer. And be amazed.
